Caring for and Displaying Your Giclée Print
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and discoloration of giclée print over time. Please display your prints in an area that is not exposed to direct sunlight. If you must hang your prints in a sunny area, consider using UV-protective glass or acrylic glazing to help prevent fading.
Use Acid-Free Materials
Acidic materials can cause a giclée print to deteriorate over time. When selecting mats, frames, and other display materials, make sure they are acid-free to prevent damage to your prints. Look for materials labeled as "archival quality" or "conservation grade" to ensure they are acid-free.
Handling Tips
When handling your giclée print, do so with clean, dry hands. Fingerprints, oils, and other contaminants can transfer to the print and cause damage over time. Hold the print by the edges or use gloves if necessary. Avoid touching the surface of the print directly.
