Which mediums and supports do you use to create your paintings?
Acrylic and oil are my primary mediums. I paint on cradled birch panel which is ready to hang.
I can paint on fine art watercolour paper which is unframed. Paintings will be varnished to protect them.
How long does it take to complete a painting?
Paintings are complete in the order they were commissioned and it will also depend on the number of orders I am processing. Larger painting with greater detail will take longer to complete than small simpler pieces. Painting with acrylic is faster than oil as oil needs 4-5 weeks to cure before varnishing. Please let me know your time frame and I will provide you with an estimate. Once I have completed your painting, I will send you a digital photo of the painting before I mail it to you.
How much do you charge and which options do you offer?
An estimation of the cost depends on the scale of the painting, the materials used, and the time it would take me to create the painting. I have included a list below of current prices for 2025.

General Pricing
6”x 6” $125 (a sketchy image of pet’s head with a plain background)
12” x 12 ”$300 (an image of pet’s head with a plain background)
12” x 16” $400 (an image of the pet’s body with a plain background)
12” x 16” $500 (an image the pet’s body with some detail)
Background colour
You can choose a background colour for a plain background and I will do my best to use it.
Reference Images
Please send me a high quality reference photo to work from. It is helpful to receive multiple photographs of your pet to give me a better sense of your pet’s personality and colouring. If there is an issue with the quality of the reference photo, I will let you know. The more visual information I have to work with, the better as I wish to capture your pet as accurately as possible.
